Meet David Semerdjian
David founded GSD Accountants after 17+ years of accounting work rooted in California real estate, construction, eCommerce, and recycling operations. Industries where the year-end total tells you nothing and the per-job number tells you everything.
The firm exists because generic bookkeeping fails operators in a specific, expensive way: rehab budgets expensed as repairs, entities blended into one P&L, draw requests rebuilt from scratch every time. GSD’s answer is discipline. Every transaction classed to a property or job, every account reconciled monthly, every close on a published deadline.
Today GSD runs on QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, and Gusto, with a remote delivery team and an automation stack that keeps human hours where they belong: on judgment, not data entry.
How we run the firm
- Publish the price. Investors compare deals for a living. Hiding prices insults them.
- Every dollar gets a home. Every transaction is classed to a property or job. No exceptions, no “miscellaneous.”
- Deadlines are published. Accounts reconciled by the 10th, 7th, or 5th depending on tier, and books fully reviewed and cleaned up by the 15th. In the agreement, not implied.
- Stay inside the boundary. We’re not a CPA firm. No tax prep, no tax positions, no legal interpretation. Your CPA gets tax-ready books and keeps the tax work, which is exactly why CPAs refer to us.
