Cleanups & rescues
Your books are a mess. That’s fixable, at a flat price.
Entities untangled, accounts reconciled, project costs moved to WIP where they belong, chart of accounts rebuilt for how you actually operate. One quote, one project, books you can trust.
Works for investors and operators alike. Flips, rentals, construction, recycling, trades.
What “cleanup” actually means
| Accounts reconciled to statements | every one |
|---|---|
| Rehab costs reclassed to WIP | per project |
| Inter-entity due-to/due-from | reconciled |
| Chart of accounts | rebuilt |
| Security deposits & escrow | separated |
| Deliverable | books a lender trusts |

The process
Flat quote in, clean books out
Diagnostic call
30 minutes on your setup. We flag the likely damage and what rescue involves.
30-minute file review
We open the QBO file, assess the real scope, and quote the cleanup flat.
The rescue
Reconciliations, reclassifications, entity untangling, CoA rebuild. On a stated timeline.
Handoff or continue
Take the clean file to your CPA, or roll into a monthly tier and never re-rescue.

Cleanup questions, answered
How do you price a cleanup?
Flat, after a 30-minute review of your QBO file. You get one number covering the full scope. Never open-ended hourly billing that punishes you for the mess.
How far back do you go?
As far as needed for the books to be trustworthy, usually the current year plus prior year-end. If a lender or CPA needs more history rebuilt, we scope it explicitly.
Do I have to sign up for monthly service?
No. Cleanup stands alone. Most clients continue into a monthly tier because clean books are easier to keep clean than to re-rescue, but that’s your call, made after you see the result.
We’re mid-tax-season and my CPA is waiting. How fast?
File review within days of the diagnostic; most rescues are scoped in days-to-weeks, not months. Tell us the CPA deadline and we work backward from it.
